Therapy for Teens & Young Adults

Today, adolescence and early adulthood is happening in a world that is more public, more competitive, and less predictable. Teens and young adults need support that matches the context of the changing world around them.

Teen Using Smartphone

It’s a lot to grow up in a world like this.

High expectations. Constant comparison. Big decisions, early.

Growing up has never been easy, but today's teens and young adults face pressures that are hard to escape. School, social media, friendships, family expectations, and figuring out who you want to become are a lot to carry all at once.

Therapy gives you a place to slow down, make sense of what's happening, and build skills that fit your life.

AS A TEEN OR YOUNG ADULT, MAYBE YOU'RE THINKING...

"I know I should be fine. I can't explain why I feel off."

"All my friends seem to have it all figured out, but I literally don't know what I'm doing with my life."

"The smallest things make me want to scream!"

"Everyone keeps telling me I should be happy. So why do I feel like crying all the time?"

AS A PARENT, MAYBE YOU'RE THINKING...

"Something's changed. I don't know how to reach them anymore."

"I know what they're capable of. I just want to see that spark again."

"I feel like I'm saying all the wrong things."

"I keep wondering if there's something they're not telling me."

COMMON AREAS OF FOCUS

Growing up has never been simple. Becoming yourself can be even harder.

Whether you're navigating school, college, friendships, family, or figuring out who you are, you don't have to do it alone. These are some of the conversations we have most often.

Anxiety & Overthinking

What if...? What if...? What if...!?! Your brain keeps running through every possibility, even when you know you're overthinking it. Together, we'll help you quiet the noise, manage the anxious feelings, and trust yourself again.

ADHD & Focus

No, it's not laziness or a lack of motivation. Just a brain that works differently. We'll help you understand how your brain is wired and build practical strategies that fit the way you think, learn, and get things done.

Self Esteem & Identity

Who am I? Where do I fit? Am I enough? Together, we'll explore them thoughtfully and help you build confidence that comes from embracing your authentic self.

Life Transitions

New schools. College. First jobs. Big decisions. Even exciting changes can bring uncertainty. We'll help you navigate the transitions and build confidence in the person you're becoming.

The Low Hum

Nothing is terribly wrong...but nothing feels quite right either. Maybe you're more tired, more irritable, or just don't feel like yourself anymore. Together, we'll slow down, get curious, and figure out what's underneath that feeling.

Friendships & Relationships

Friendships change. Dating gets complicated. Social media doesn't make any of it easier. We'll talk about boundaries, confidence, communication, and figuring out which relationships help you grow and which ones leave you feeling smaller.

Dr. Lindsey O'Brennan

Dr. Lindsey founded Morningstar in 2018 with a simple belief: meaningful growth doesn't have to feel clinical. It can be thoughtful, deeply human, and even joyful.

As a psychologist and executive coach, Dr. Lindsey works with teens, adults, and leaders who strive to do meaningful work. Many are outwardly successful but find themselves caught in cycles of overthinking, perfectionism, anxiety, and relentless self-pressure.

Together, you'll untangle the patterns that no longer serve you, reconnect with what matters most, and build a way of living and leading that feels both sustainable and authentic.
